Harbour's Mission

Harbour is a Plymouth-based charity, providing drug and alcohol services to people with complex lives. For over 30 years, they have helped people to realise they are not alone and that they have the power to make positive changes in their lives. They work with adults, children, young people, and families offering psychosocial Interventions for people with drug and alcohol problems.

Thier Community Service aims to work proactively with people accessing services to identify appropriate recovery journeys, supporting harm reduction and abstinence-based interventions. Improving their physical and psychosocial wellbeing, as well as strengthening communities. In-line with but not limited by national and local drug/ alcohol treatment strategies.

Who is the service available to?
This service is currently available to people 18 years and over who live within the Plymouth City boundaries. Criterion for treatment is namely people who present with:
• Drug and alcohol dependency
• Problematic substance and alcohol misuse
• Any associated issued caused by substance and alcohol misuse
• Risk of harm to self or others caused by substance and alcohol misuse
The service is also available to people who are in contact with the Criminal Justice system
Volunteer at Harbour

For harbour Volunteering is a two-way street that will provide benefits to both us and you and the people that we work with. Volunteering involves giving time, labour, and skills for free to do something that benefits someone else. Please note that volunteering at different levels requires DBS checks ( that Harbour will support you through) and training from the team.
