Age UK Plymouth exists to care for and work with older people and their carers in and around the City of Plymouth to improve their quality of life through the promotion of choice, opportunity and independence.

 

Services

Age UK offer a range of services across the South West, including:

  • Forget me Nots- a dedicated memory group 

  • Foot care

  • Hairdressing 

  • Will writing

  • Home energy checks  

  • Hospital discharge service 

  • Adult and Dementia day center

  • ​Regi-mental wellbeing for veterans 

  • NHS health checks

  • Information and advice services

Community support groups 

As well as support services, Age UK host activities and events to support our aging community 

  • Jolly elders-A group for those aged over 50 who want to get together and meet new people, with different themes and activities each week.

  • Cancer support cafes- supporting people living with cancer, their friends, families and support network at every stage of their journey.

  • Veteran's sticky bun morning - All Veterans aged 50+ or with disabilities are invited to join weekly for plenty of sweet treats with tea, coffee, and good company

  • Veterans games club, and Veterans brunch

  • Carer support- Do you look after a family member or friend? They can provide information, advice and support to help you in your caring role.

  • Walking football

  • The Big Knit 2025
